About Synergy Arts Foundation
Since its inception in 2003, Synergy Arts Foundation has played a vital role in supporting our local arts community as well as providing diverse arts educational programming to at-risk and under-served populations. We continue to grow and flourish. Our board is 100% volunteer based, comprised of seasoned arts professionals who have lived for decades in San Diego. We are all passionate and dedicated to supporting our mission and are deeply appreciative of the support we receive from our donors. Many of our projects aim to promote and nurture local artists of all disciplines as well as arts organizations. We are always grateful for their generosity and willingness to collaborate.
To date Synergy has issued hundreds of EASL (visual artists) and PWER (performing, literary artists) grants to individual artists of all disciplines enduring a crisis, ranging from losing their home or studio in a firestorm to assisting with exorbitant medical/dental bills. We also provide grants to arts organizations, often helping with seed money to set up or funds to ensure their continuance because of a catastrophic event.
To date, Synergy has been blessed to fund many, diverse community arts projects including several international arts projects. We choose to fund these projects to "at risk" and under-served populations. Our objective is always to unite our local artists and arts organizations, collaborate whenever possible, raise awareness about the value of arts and culture in our County, and enhance the lives of many 'at-risk' populations through art programming.
